obviously people find it fun because they keep buying and paying monthly subscriptions to games that are based around that idea. And maxing out a faction title is optional, if you feel compelled to max out one of the titles so that you can get +2 is some pve skill then go ahead.

So a $50 purchase got you 2-3 months of playing and you complain of lack of content in a game without a monthly fee?

Well technically yes grinding for titles and prestige is optional but on the other hand it is a catch 22. If you do not grind for titles and do your HOM then you receive no bonuses for whatever these all give you for GW2 and the large majority will be playing Guild Wars 2.

So what? If you have no bonuses and prestige in GW1 why do you need them in GW2. Be a zero in GW1 and continue your trend in GW2 whats the difference?

No sense i discussing further because obviously some just miss the point of what made Guild Wars great from the very beginning.

it depreciates the value of what hard-core title grinders work for.

I think there's not reason not to get more titles. Sure it will annoy GWAMMs but if we get new titles in packs of 5 they can always add more levels to the GWAMM title track. Like God among gods or silly stuff like that.
That said, we could also get new "for fun" titles that would not count towards GWAMM.
There's plenty of options. To add stuff and not piss off all the GWAMMs out there.

We need an r7 KoaBD just so people can display The Truth: "You Cannot Kill That Which Has No Life". In all seriousness though, r7 is well within reach already, and has been for months.
They could also add a Legendary PvPer title track for the number of maxed PvP titles you have. No, really.
